7 tips for organizing your wardrobe

Knowing how to organize your wardrobe is an art that can save you time and peace of mind. Whether your wardrobe is large or small, the important thing is to make it functional and practical. Here are a few tips to help you do just that.

1. Take inventory of your clothes.

First of all, before you even consider how much space you have, you need to sort. Take out all the clothes in your wardrobe, then sort them into two piles: clothes to keep and clothes to give away.

Then store out-of-season items in plastic bins in the basement or, if space is limited, in vacuum bags. The latter take up much less space than bins and can easily be stored in a closet or under the bed.
